Why is everything chrome?

I’m a big SpongeBob fan; I went as SpongeBob for Halloween (scroll down). I was watching old episodes and the episode where Squidward escapes into the future and the past came on. I don’t know why, but this specific line made me laugh and this scene sparked the chrome set idea.
I’ve had this one in the vault in my brain for awhile; I even bought some different chrome outfits last year and had a different execution plan in mind. Everything happens for a reason though, because I like this outfit and set up a lot more than the original plan… though I already know what I’d change for next time.
I spray painted a bunch of thrifted vases and recyclables with silver spray paint and covered everything else with Mylar tablecloths to turn the “room” chrome. I’ve been practicing a lot with my new Godox AD600PRO strobe light - the shadows are super harsh here but I’m working on it.
